Learn in a Positive Environment

The Los Alamos School of Gymnastics (LASG) is a non-profit, member-owned and parent-operated organization that offers programs in recreational and competitive gymnastics for girls and boys from ages two through high school. In addition, LASG offers a Summer Sports Camp for children age 6 to 12, and a weekday after-school program, and a Wednesday after school program. LASG has been in operation since 1976, and under the direction of Loui Janecky since 1981. The gym space is also available for birthday parties.

The Los Alamos School of Gymnastics is a member club of the US Gymnastics Federation (USGF) and USA Gymnastics (USAG)

At LASG, Safety is First

The LASG is a member club of United States of America Gymnastics (USAG). Instruction is provided on USAG-approved equipment. LASG instructors hold USAG Level 1-4 Skills Evaluator Certifications, Professional Coaching Certifications, plus Red Cross First Aid/CPR Certifications. Loui Janecky is a USAG National Safety Instructor and we use that experience to implement safety in all activities.

Participant Expectations

  1. Participants will only attend when healthy enough to participate
  2. Participants will come prepared so bring or wear clothing suitable for gymnastics. Loose or stretchy enough to allow freedom of movement but tight enough that it doesn't catch on equipment or interfere with spotters (no front zippers or buttons) Safety comes First.
  3. Participants will not chew gum. Safety comes First
  4. Participants will not ear jewelry. Safety comes First.
  5. Participants must be picked up within 10 minutes of the end of class. Late fees will charged after that time.
  6. Please bring any issue, problems or questions to Loui or any board member as soon as possible so they can be addressed.
  7. Please feel free and take the time to watch they gymnastics classes from the balcony. Please do not interrupt or interfere with classes take any issues directly to Loui or other staff. We like to maintain our instructors authority and have found it best to deal with issues outside of class time when it is less disruptive to the participants.
  8. Please make payments on time by the 5th day of the session. We are a non-profit gym and the bills need to be paid.

 

LASG does reserve the right to refuse registration and/or discontinue such to any child who is a behavioral or safety problem for the instructors.

LASG USAG approved Equipment

LASG USAG approved Equipment housed in our over 12,000 sq.ft facility. LASG has regulation Olympic and Junior Olympic Equipment for all men's and women's events. LASG has special Preschool Equipment and a special Preschool area or our youngest participants. All of our equipment is housed in our permenant facility located here in Los Alamos - stop by and check us out!
