The Los
Alamos Ultimate Frisbee Club exists to provide the opportunity for playing
Ultimate Frisbee. While there is a small core of players who live in
Los Alamos year round the ultimate scene benefits greatly from the annual
influx of summer students. Play is informal, although we do follow the
standard UPA rules.
We
have regular intrasquad scrimmages at the Upper Pueblo soccer fields.
Park behind Pueblo School (1900 Diamond Drive) We typically "practice"
2-3 times per week once daylight savings time begins in April until
it ends in October.
All players
are welcome and there are no club dues. If you don't know how to play,
we will be happy to let you play while you learn.
Some of
the LA players travel to tournaments outside of Los Alamos and each
year we host the Atomic Blast tournament which
attracts teams from New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona. If you want to
learn a bit about ultimate, get a great workout, and meet some new people,
this is the place for you!
